NY 721103 Ancient Greek Philosophy
A general introduction to the origin and development of philosophical thought among the Pre-Socratics, Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, with a detailed analysis of representative texts. Problems in metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, and religion in their historical and cultural context.
NY 713105 History of Immigration
Examines the numerous immigrant groups in American society from the seventeenth century through the present and focuses on adaptation to American values, and the changing culture of the United States. The course will also examine the phenomenon of immigration in Europe, and it will focus on the changing role of Greece from a sender to a host of immigrants.

Understanding how culture shapes our perceptions and communication behaviors. Strategies for effective cross-cultural and intercultural communication.
NY 734107 European Union: Structure and Institutions
The emergence of the European Union is one of the most significant political changes already shaping the 21st century. It already impacts legislation, transatlantic relations, agriculture, health and consumer protection, market consolidation, and many other areas and professions. This course is designed to introduce the history, institutions and structure of the European Union to students from a multi-disciplinary perspective.
NY 503103 Economics of the European Union
An analysis of various aspects of the E.U. In particular, it will address issues such as the impact from formation of a customs union to an economic and political union, on various sectors of the economy (e.g. agricultural, industrial), and the impact - and efficiency - of monetary and fiscal policies designed to solve problems due to this development. NY 241101 Principles of Marketing
This course is designed to acquaint the student with the principles and problems of the marketing of goods and the methods of distribution from producer or manufacturer to the consumer. The course includes a study of the types, functions, and practices of wholesalers and retailers in the American marketing system and of efficient marketing techniques in the development and expansion of American and foreign markets.

This course presents the conceptual framework for understanding theories of money and banking, especially as they concern the changing aspects of modern society. Knowledge Management
This module is designed to demonstrate the value of knowledge management as a key management tool within a corporate environment. Students will examine in a systematic manner the key components of a knowledge management system, including related technologies, knowledge based processes and human resource related factors in order

Industrial Relations
This course has been designed to offer participants the required knowledge on the legislative framework, as this has been shaped by the latest changes in the labour matters, with particular emphasis on rights and obligations of the employers and employees; labour contracts; working time; leaves; security and health within the working environment; dismissals; movement of employees. The aim of the course is to equip participants with the knowledge of the legal framework governing employment and labour relations on a local and international level.
Sales Management
This module is intended to help lift the fog encasing sales. While there is no one set of retailing and sales decisions that is right for all situations, it offers valuable insight into what really works – sales strategies that align business processes and sales. Students will have a unique opportunity to learn how to operate sales models that are consistent with both the applications in which they have invested and the business processes they are trying to execute, automate, and improve in the field of sales - gaining thus competitive advantage.
Financial Markets
This course enables students to show an understanding of the structure of financial institutions and the capital markets; know the location and functioning of the main financial centres; understand the role of the issues and borrowers, the investors and the intermediaries; know the regulatory framework; are introduced to the theory and practice of the prediction of price moves; have an overview of the money market instruments, securities, bonds, derivatives and swaps. Specifically pricing of those instruments and securities and how they can be used for trading and hedging.
Corporate Strategy
The purpose of this course is to provide an insight into the issues and problems which are commonly encountered in formulating strategy. The latest theoretical and practical approaches are emphasized very intensively. The course reflects global and international aspects, as well as theoretical knowledge from a number of different courses such as international management, marketing, international organizational behavior etc.
